This romance is a fun spin-off of Cinderella. Daisy Montgomery's life does not even remotely resemble a fairy tale. Her stepmother and two stepsisters put her down and pick on her constantly while she is left worrying over the state of the castle. When Daisy learns that she has a fairy godmother, she immediately thinks of way to save her castle but her fairy godmother and she are not on the same page. Instead, her fairy godmother sets Daisy up with Charles, her own grandson.
Charles isn't the most sterling example of a hero. He has made many mistakes leading to him being cut off from the family funds. When he finally has enough of his own mistakes, he decides he must try to succeed on his own and completely rids himself of the family money. What happens when orderly Daisy meets the chaotic Charles?
The love scenes are actually very sweet. They make the reader feel the "young love." The relationship isn't immediate. It takes a while for them both to trust each other. The reader will love the arguments between Charles and Daisy and enjoy their quiet agreements even more. The ending is satisfying and the reader will enjoy how Kieran Kramer ties up the loose ends. Romance readers who are fans of the fairy tale should look IF YOU GIVE A GIRL A VISCOUNT up at your local bookstore.
If life were a fairy tale, Daisy Montgomery's mother and
sister would surely be cast in the wicked step-roles. For
years, they have made life miserable for Daisy's beautiful
stepsister Ella. But when Daisy discovers that Ella has a
godmother, she's determined to ask her for help. Little did
Daisy expect Ella's godmother to play matchmaker with her
very own grandson - who happens to be a viscount.
