Peppa Grant, vocal talent for Lyrique Recordings, loves kids and is enjoying the last minute invitation to dress as a fairy to entertain the children at the annual office Christmas party. Unfortunately, she also has to confess to their new CEO Cameron McCormac (aka Mr. McSexy) that she hit his expensive car in the parking lot (and whoop, she's between insurance companies). Cameron is very understanding and forgiving... if Peppa will agree to attend his family Christmas party as his date. Cameron, still grieving the loss of his wife years earlier, sees this as an opportunity to silence his concerned and match-making relatives. Things take an unexpected turn when the chemistry between them goes out of control and they spend the night together. Peppa is struggling with her own heartbreak but still hopes someday for marriage and family; Cameron's not interested in another long-term relationship. Will unexpected events change Cameron's mind and help him trust in happily-ever-after?

ONE PERFECT NIGHT is an engaging story that is warm, sweet, and sexy. Though I found some of the plot developments a little predictable, I still enjoyed reading as Peppa and Cameron found their way to each other. Their emotional struggles will tug at your heart which makes their happy ending all the sweeter. I will definitely keep an eye out for more books by Rachael Johns.
