Romance

Juliet Falconer is dealing with the recent death of her husband through dog walking. Hiding her feelings while trying to deal with the loss leaves her open to the ministrations of her mother to become a dog walker and unofficial town pet-sitter for Longhampton. Unable to complete her unfinished house without her husband Ben, an opportunity presents itself, precipitated by her sister, Louise, and her mother, Diane.

Meeting Lorcan Hennessey who is living with the very unconventional family next door, Juliet is eventually coerced into beginning her home repairs, as well as her life again. Helping her sister to deal with her own secret enables Juliet to focus on something other than her own greif and helps her realize she still has passion and will allow herself to fall in love again. Ben, a devoted gardener, has left a legacy in the form of cherry tree saplings that will eventually help her to live and love again.

WALKING BACK TO HAPPINESS is a heartwarming story of real people with a very real loss. Juliet faces the all consuming mourning until the efforts of her family and friends are able to bring a little light into her heart and bring new awareness to her. WALKING BACK TO HAPPINESS is a very nostalgic tale of a young woman who has lost everything important in her life and yet is strong enough to overcome the hole she has dug for herself.

SUMMARY

Juliet's hiding from her feelings about the recent loss of Ben, the love of her life. If it weren't for having to walk Ben's loyal dog, Minton, she'd never leave their half-finished house. Then her mother asks her to take her elderly lab, Coco, along. One dog leads to another, and soon Juliet's the unofficial town pet-sitter. And when she takes on a lonely spaniel, and gets to know its attractive owner, she realizes that her emotions aren't as easy to handle as her canine charges...
