In SEX, LIES AND MISTLETOE by Tawny Blake, we are welcomed
to the town of Black Oak. Until recently, Black Oak has
been a town that prides itself on its low crime rate, but
recently
a drug ring is invading the quiet town. Who better to
infiltrate the drug ring than former town resident and DEA
agent, Caleb Black.
Pandora Easton is also a former Black Oak resident who is
returning after being accused of a crime she didn't commit.
While in town, she will try to rescue her family's failing
business, Moonspoon Dreams. Whether or not she will be able
to make a success of it remains to be seen, but surely with
the help of one or two good employees and the addition of a
lunch menu filled with aphrodisiacs, how can she not
succeed.
It doesn't take long for Caleb and Pandora to cross paths,
and an attraction to each other ignites, but with Caleb
attempting to bust a drug ring, and Pandora selling
aphrodisiacs, can they truly be on the path of true love?
I have to be honest and admit it took me a bit to get into
SEX, LIES AND MISTLETOE. I felt as though I was thrown into
the middle of a story arc rather than the beginning of one,
but as I got to liking Pandora and her quirky manner I
couldn't wait to find out if she would make a success of
the business, and if she and Caleb could both overcome their
pasts and make a future together. Now, I'm looking forward
to meeting more residents of Black Oak in the next book of
the series... Sex, Lies and Midnight.
Undercover DEA agent Caleb Black is home for the holidays—
possibly to bust his own father. But maybe Caleb's con-man
dad isn't the one running drugs through the small town of
Black Oak. Maybe it's the green-eyed goddess who runs the
New Age shop and has Caleb under her sultry spell.
Pandora Easton saved the family store with two words: sex
sells. And her delectable aphrodisiacs really work, as she's
proven with notorious bad boy Caleb again and again and
again.
Little does she guess that, in the end, her most potent
potion will be the truth...
