Romance

Very few things in the world could make Oliver Warren, the Marquis of Haybury, flinch. The return of the recently widowed Diane Benchley, also known as Lady Cameron seems to be one of them.

London is buzzing with news that Lady Cameron has returned to London, late in the night with a half dozen of the grandest black carriages. Will she remarry? What will she do with her late husband's fortune? Society is shocked when she announces, at the Duke and Duchess's Grand Ball, that she is planning to open an exclusive gentleman's gaming club in the old Adam House family mansion. No one is more stunned than the Marquis of Haybury, Oliver Warren.

Two Years ago in Vienna, just after the death of her husband, Diane and Oliver had a private indiscretion. The indiscretion left them both a bit rattled. Now Diane has threatened to reveal an ungentlemanly secret of Oliver's...unless he agrees to help her with the opening of her gentleman's gaming club. A notorious gambler, and known rake, Oliver is qualified to educate the young girls that Diane has employed at the club. This is the biggest risk Oliver has ever taken, only thing is that this time he has more to loose than money.

A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO RAKES is a fun adventure of breaking the rules of society, doing what one must to survive, and following your heart. The main characters may be reunited over a business arrangement, but the passion of their past indiscretion builds sexual tension that could destroy everything. The reader will fall in love with Diane's determination and Oliver's desire. A wonderful read for any reader who enjoys a story of going against the grain of society.
