I am a big fan of this author's other books so when I saw this one I was really excited. This was something different for me to read by a favorite author. I love highlander stories as well as this author so how could I go wrong?

IN BED WITH A HIGHLANDER brings us the story of Ewan and Mairin. When Mairin is kidnapped from the convent she is hiding in she finds a friend in a young boy. This young boy turns out to be a victim as well. When they are rescued and brought back to the boy's father, Ewan, the sparks fly. Mairin may be under the protection of a strong and capable man but she still hides her identity. Ewan must decide if he can trust her or not. Will love finally win or will greed be the one on top?

I loved both Mairin and Ewan. Ewan is a very protective man who loves with all his heart and Mairin is a strong woman who is willing to stand on her own and fight her way through life. The sparks ignite between these two and turn into much more as the book progresses. Watching their relationship develop was a great read. Each one finds themselves wondering if they can trust their hearts and trust each other. I loved the scene where Ewan must stitch Mairin up after she is shot by an arrow. The love he feels for her shows in his tenderness with her. I also enjoyed meeting Crispen and seeing the role he plays in this story was a nice read. As a mother it was great to see how much he was cared for. Mairin and Ewan make a wonderful couple. Mairin is a feisty woman who is a great match for a powerful warrior like Ewan.

This is a well-written and fast paced book with great characters. I enjoyed meeting not only Mairin and Ewan but also many of the secondary characters and I cannot wait to see which of the brothers will fall in love next.
