The little town of Harmony, Texas consists of a variety of residents. Tyler Wright, the local funeral director, has an on again off again relationship with Major Kate Cummings. He's ready but fears Kate is not. Then there's the recluse Ronelle Logan who lives with her domineering mother that never wanted her but has kept her tied to her side always downgrading her. That is, until Ronny meets someone just like her. As a teen Reagan Truman was taken in and passed as a relative by the elderly Jeremiah Truman. Giving her his name and a home, Rae is completely devoted to caring for Jeremiah and running the apple orchard farm.
Each of the many residents are looking for something but not knowing how to get it. Searching for the unexpected and impossible, they are all forced to re-evaluate what it is they truly want.
