LORD OF THE ABYSS is the fourth and final book in the
stunning Royal House of Shadows series. Each book is
centered on one of four siblings that are struggling to
find their memories, themselves, and their way back home.
Each book has been a warped fairytale and every single one
has swept me away to this the final book. I am simply
delighted that Nalini Singh did not let me down. I believe
that this book was even darker and even more steamily sexy
than the last three! The pages of LORD OF THE ABYSS almost
burned off the pages!
The Lord of Black Castle has always been the lord. There
have never been other memories for him, just the Abyss, the
castle, and the evil things that he is responsible for
sending back to where they belong. That is the way it has
always been and that is the way it shall be. Except for the
day when a stranger enters his realm. She is a woman who
looks at him, a woman who looks at him with no fear.
Liliana has known what it is to fear. She knows what a
monster is; and the Lord of Black Castle is no monster.
Leaving her home and her father far behind her Liliana went
in search of the youngest of the only living members of the
Royal House of Elden. Micah it was said had been killed by
her father in his war on Elden. Liliana knows that she must
find the boy behind the mask that has become the Lord of
the Abyss or all hope will be lost for the people of Elden.
Liliana is prepared to die trying, but she was not prepared
to find the most enchanting prince in all the darkness.
She tells him stories that enchant him. The stories she
tells have woken something in him that he never knew was
missing. This girl, this intruder has become a mystery that
Micah finds himself intrigued to solve. The woman has made
him desire for more than he has, she has made him want
things he has never wanted before. Can he find the humanity
he thought long gone beneath his armor?
The stunning conclusion to the Royal House of Shadows
series left nothing to doubt. I fell in love with Micah.
The charming boy from the story had grown into an
unforgettable man. I loved watching his armor chip away
every day. Micah was as dark as Nicolai, yet he was more
sensual, more lustful, and just more. Liliana was also a
surprise, born completely on the wrong side of the fight I
watched her struggles to fight for what she believed in. I
watched what should have been a fragile woman be the
bravest of all. Liliana was a perfect match for Micah and I
loved watching her transformation just as much as his. LORD
OF THE ABYSS was highly sensual and highly addictive; a
perfect ending to a remarkable series!
As the Dark Lord who condemns souls to damnation in the Abyss, Micah is nothing but a feared monster wrapped in impenetrable black armor. He has no idea he is the last heir of Elden, its last hope. Only one woman knows—the daughter of his enemy. Liliana is nothing like her father, the Blood Sorcerer who’d cursed Micah. She sees past Micah’s armor to the prince inside. A prince whose sinful touch she craves. But first she has to brave his dark, dangerous lair and help him remember. Because they only have till midnight to save Elden.
