A combination of Oliver Twist and Great Expectations, this work answers the "what if?"---What if someone used to nothing is able to aspire to greatness or experience an entirely unexpectedly lush lifestyle? Would it change him or her? Jenny Rogers expects to be treated to the high life after winning a ticket on a gameshow. However, unfortunate flight situations put her into a totally different circumstance. Meanwhile, Ric Karaka needs to impress a wealthy old dowager who also happens to be his maternal grandmother...whom he's never met. Now, Ric is fighting for his dream, while Jenny is fighting to keep her bearings in the world of wealth, influence, and bribery. The problem is that, although they are attracted to each other, they don't know whether to trust each other or the appearance of what they are both trying to be. Not only is the work passionate and sultry, it's well-written and heart-warming.
