LORD OF THE VAMPIRES is the first in a stunning new series
by several authors. Each author has taken their own
character and masterfully woven these four tales together!
Gena Showalter has created a vampire who has been trapped in
a bed not of his own making...well not entirely his own making.
Nicolai was once a crown prince of his kingdom. Until the
day that the dark sorcerer came to destroy and take over his
world. Thrown across realms in a spell gone array, Nicolai
has found himself the object of his once every desire. You
see Nicolai was no innocent boy, far from it as he had a
different woman every day. His every desire was filled to
his satisfaction, leaving little room for the thoughts and
needs of others. Now Nicolai has been wiped clean of all his
memories. Only one thought remains...he must survive, he
must have vengeance, and he must succeed at all costs. First
his must find a champion, a woman who will be willing to
save him. She must be strong, she must be capable, oh and
beauty would help too. His journal must find its way into
the right hands or Nicolai fears he may spend eternity here
chained, caged, and a slave to a witch.
When Jane finds a strange book on her doorstep she has no
fears about turning its pages to discover the mysteries that
lie within it. After all how bad can one book really be?
Little does Jane know that this book has been sent to her
across time and space so that she might save a man. What
Jane finds is a slave, far from human, and a man who is so
savage she is not sure that there is much there worth
saving. Compelled by forces beyond her control, Jane will
stop at nothing to help Nicolai find himself, his past, and
maybe a way into his future.
I simply loved this book. A fan of Showalter, I found that
this story was one of her best. I felt myself feeling for
Nicolai in the same ways that Jane did. I felt the pity, the
utter sense of helplessness, and the need to do something to
save this beautiful man. Jane was an amazing woman. I loved
her wit, her strength, and her determination to find a way
to make all things possible. Faced with the reality that she
may never find a way home, Jane was surprisingly agile on
her feet. She was able to adapt and open her heart to a man
that she was not sure there could be a future with. Nicolai
was of course a man out of my dreams. He was dark, sensual,
and his lust for survival captured me. The strength it took
for this one man to survive through years of captivity was
phenomenal. The plot was written to entice the reader. The
pace set in the beginning of the book never did slow down
and it kept me flipping pages just as fast as I could devour
them. I must say that LORD OF THE VAMPIRES is one fairy tale
that I will never forget!
Once upon a time…the Blood Sorcerer vanquished the kingdom
of Elden.
To save their children, the queen scattered them to safety
and the king filled them with vengeance.
Only a magical timepiece connects the four royal heirs…and
time is running out.…
Nicolai the Vampire was renowned for his virility, but in a
twist of fate "The Dark Seducer" had become a sex slave in
the kingdom of Delfina—stripped of his precious timepiece
and his memory. All that remained was a primal need for
freedom, revenge—and the only woman who could help him.
In her dreams, a wanton vampire called to Jane Parker,
drawing her to his dark sexuality and his magical realm.
But for a human, all was not a fairy tale in Delfina. Jane
was the key to Nicolai's memory…but exploiting her meant
dooming the only mortal he craved.
