Miss Comfort Kennedy has come a long way from the scared
little girl left for dead after her wagon train was attacked
and everyone was murdered. Thanks to her saviors and now
uncles, Newton Prescott and Tucker Jones, she not only has a
successful life in banking but able to bury the tragedy from
so long ago that changed her life forever. Comfort fell in
love with Bram DeLong on the night of her coming out party
nine years ago, but over time she realizes that Bram was
really never in love with her. On the evening of Bram's
brother Bode's birthday party Bram tells all their friends
and family that Comfort has agreed to marry him. Comfort
has no idea why Bram would do such a thing especially since
Bram hasn't proposed to her or asked permission from her
uncles. Comfort agrees to a short engagement until Bode
captures her attention with an unexpected kiss.
Bode DeLong's interest in Comfort Kennedy began nine years ago
at her coming out party that he was forced to attend. At
the time, Comfort was too young for him but with her
engagement to his brother, Bode becomes suspicious and
determined to win her himself. He just has to find a way
to spend time with Comfort. Circumstances turn in his favor
when an injury to his brother opens the door for Bode to
steal time with Comfort but the engagement gets more
confusing as Bode realizes there is more to Bram's public
announcement than meets the eye. Bram has always been able
to get anything he wants regardless of those he hurts along
the way. Bode wants to make sure Comfort is not in anyway
harmed by those decisions and hopes that he can become a
part of Comforts life that she can not live without.

COMFORT is charming, humorous, all consuming, and a blast to
read. I refused to put it down until the last page. I love it!
Bode DeLong knows that his playboy brother Bram isn't
really in love with Miss Comfort Kennedy, even though it's
clear that she's enamored with him. With Bram's motives for
the engagement suspect, Bode figures the safest place for
Comfort to be is in his arms. Now, Bode just needs to
convince Comfort that the childhood fancy she has for his
brother is no match for the incredible desire that sparks
between them every time they touch.
