It has been ten long years Dr. Mia Santiago drifted from her lover, Ryan, yet still a glimpse of cherry blossom in the wind bring back the all-too-short time they spent together. In that time, she has achieved her dream of gaining a doctorate in geophysics and is about to be thrust into the eyes of the world as an expert on the potential terrorist use of nuclear ordinance in areas of fragile seismology to create targeted disasters.
Captain Ryan Mason is equally affected. There has been no one since Mia who connected to him on such a deep level. His military career has led him to become leader of an elite military counterterrorism unit; their current assignment is to identify and protect any among the scientific community who could be coerced by terrorists to help them plant nuclear weapons at the earth's most vulnerable points.
Set in the vibrant tactical nightmare of New York City, Alexis Grant has set up an excellent extrapolation of current dangers into a suspenseful and thrilling plot. SIZZLE AND BURN snaps from sexy heat and emotional vulnerability to tense, breath-stealing action with all the deadly grace of a Capoeria bout. This first in a new series titled the Men of Delta Force is sweetly romantic with sizzling hot sex, riveting action, and one of the best happily-ever-afters I've read.
I can't recommend this book and series highly enough. The second book in the series Locked and Loaded is expected out in January 2012.
