Naomi West has to go undercover. That's ok; she's used to it
and good at it in her role as an agent of the Holy Order.
She often has to ferret out witches or assorted bad-guys
going against the Church. However, this time, Naomi has to
go undercover in a spa. That means no piercings, no regular
clothes...no gun. Long ago, she was forced away from the
superficial life the spa represents, so being undercover
there forces her to confront her own demons in her past as
well as any negative forces that might be right in front of
her. From the first second she enters Timeless, Naomi is
caught up in a crazy web of deceit and betrayal, and she's
not sure who or what to believe. She knows the owner,
Phinneas Clarke, is super-sexy, but she also knows he's got
more secrets than he's revealing. Interestingly enough, he
thinks the same about her. Naomi has to discover the roots
of prejudice, learn to see life from a different lens, and
try to keep everyone from getting killed, all in a fancy
spa.
A fantastic book, the characters are interestingly
detailed and the plot is satisfyingly intricate.
Naomi West was plucked from one prison and placed undercover
in another: the gilded cage that is Timeless, New Seattle's
premier spa and resort, where owner Phinneas Clarke—the most
seductive man Naomi has ever met—may be hiding a killer.
She's an agent of the Holy Order, trained to hunt the guilty
and render justice. But while she's tracking down a rogue
agent on a killing spree, Phin is determined to uncover her
most damning—and dangerous—secrets. Whatever the cost.
