Jordy Valentine never fit in at the exclusive boarding school he attended growing up, so when he has the chance to go to an average state college he is thrilled. GAMES FRAT BOYS PLAY offers an inside look at the social games and challenges of college life. Although this book focuses on gay men, the story could be applied to any young college students in the country. It's a world where peer pressure abounds, and students will do almost anything to fit in. It's also a time of experimentation and self-discovery. Chad is a perfect example of the desperation some students feel to be popular and well-liked. He's also trying to discover more about his homosexuality. Although he's known for quite some time that he is attracted to other men, he has never had a chance to explore that part of himself. Suddenly there is an abundance of young gay men for him to fool around with, and he takes advantage of that fact. But sex is not the same as love, and Chad soon finds himself wanting more.

The book is well-written and the plot of the story is well-developed and interesting. I found myself intrigued right from the first page and remained so until the very end. That being said, GAMES FRAT BOYS PLAY is mostly a hot coming-of-age story involving the sexcapades of a fraternity pledge. Many of the situations that arise are too outlandish to be believable, and it seems unlikely that every young man Chad comes in contact with is extremely handsome and built. There is a love story in there somewhere, but you'll have to get through a lot of meaningless sex and petty revenge to find it. Of course sometimes that's just what you're looking for. Overall the story is an entertaining and sexy diversion and a good choice if you're looking for hot man-on-man sex with some plot to back it up.
