Forensic pathologist Edward Jenner finds himself banished
to Douglas County, Florida, following the messy culmination
of a serial killing investigation in New York. Even though
he survived the Inquisitor case ordeal, his unorthodox
handling of it led to his suspension. Jenner is now working
as a medical examiner in Port Fontaine due to the
generosity of his former mentor, who still has faith in
Jenner's skills and expertise.
When that good friend and his wife are found brutally
