SOMETHING WICKED

Fantasy Urban | Romance Paranormal

Physic Eden Riley has been possessed by Darrak, a demon who has body jumped for three hundred years. Now that he has jumped into Eden's body, he can take his own form during the day. With this possession, Eden gains black magic. Anytime she uses it, she loses a little more of her soul; as a result, sex with Darrak is a big no-no since it heightens her magic. She also tends to use her magic when she feels threatened.

Darrak, being a former incubus turned archdemon, is feeling unexpected and unfamiliar emotions. Though he shouldn't be feeling anything, he finds himself wanting to protect Erin from not only him but also herself. The last thing he wants is to cause Eden to lose her soul, and never have a chance to get into heaven.

As Eden and Darrak try to break both of their curses, they have to constantly battle their attraction to each other. When they have to ask for help from another demon who was Darrak best friend, he wants to use Eden's powers to create a weapon that will take down Lucifer. Now they have to stay one step ahead of both the underworld and the human organization out to put an end to their lives.

Michelle Rowen's second book in the series is riveting, funny, and full of excitement. The ever present tension and sexual frustration between Eden and Darrak is enough to keep you turning the pages. I would suggest reading the first book but it isn't necessary. I patiently await the next book in this great series.
