Thriller Police Procedural

Since the death of Theresa Maclean's fiancé eight months ago during a bank robbery, Theresa has been going through the motions as a forensic scientist for the Cleveland Medical Examiner's office. Theresa's lack of enthusiasm to solve the cases that have come across her desk is beginning to show. She is beside herself that a rapist may go free because she didn't cast a shoeprint outside the victim's window. Now Theresa has three victims with similar, yet different, circumstances. She must find a way to concentrate on her cases before the killer, or killers, get away scot-free.

Young mother and newlywed Jillian Perry was found frozen against a tree, cause of death undetermined; down-on-her- luck ex-escort Sarah Taylor was found frozen against a tree, strangled; rebellious teenager Jacob Wheeler was found frozen against a tree, injury to head. The fact that all three are found frozen to death with very little evidence suggests to the City of Cleveland there is a serial killer loose, but Theresa's newfound hunches are leading her in all directions, while her head is still reeling from the loss of her fiancé even after all this time. Theresa struggles to get out of her funk to do her job by playing investigator, digging for the truth and hoping she can figure out who the killer is before time runs out.

EVIDENCE OF MURDER, the sequel to TAKEOVER, has fast-paced action with thrilling forensic science to keep the reader in suspense until the end. A very exciting read!

SUMMARY

Jillian Perry has been found dead in the woods, leaving behind a husband of three weeks and a young daughter. Her body shows no visible marks, and the autopsy reveals no sign of foul play. Apparently it was a suicide-Jillian purposely wandered into the forest and succumbed to the freezing weather. But something doesn't feel right to forensic investigator Theresa MacLean, and she can't let it go.Still emotionally shattered by a devastating loss months ago, Theresa focuses all her attention on the case-one that gets stranger with the appearance of the dead woman's ex-boyfriend seeking custody of Jillian's little girl. Every twist the investigation takes raises the stakes lethally higher. And unless Theresa can find evidence of murder-evidence that doesn't seem to exist-someone may soon share Jillian's ghastly fate.
