Life in a small town can be slow and lazy, but it can also
be a hotbed of gossip! Especially when the fiancé of the
town's favorite son is found in bed with her boyfriend's
best friend, and the best friend is dead!
CUT TO THE CORPSE is the second book in the Decoupage
Mystery series by Lucy Lawrence and features Brenna Miller,
crafter extraordinaire and a pretty good amateur sleuth to
boot. Brenna moved to the small town of Morse Point,
Massachusetts to escape a tragic past, but she has found
more murder and mayhem in the small town that she ever
dreamed possible.
When Tara Montgomery and her mother ask Brenna to help with
the favors for her wedding to Jake Haywood, Brenna was
thrilled to create a special decoupage project just for the
couple. But all her hard work might have been for nothing
when after a wild night of partying with her bridal party,
Tara wakes up to find Jake's best friend Clue dead in the
bed next to her and a knife in her hand.
Tara turns to Brenna for help in finding out exactly what
happened on that fateful night, and to find out who killed
Clue -- before Tara's wedding dress turns into prison
stripes.
With CUT TO THE CORPSE, author Lucy Lawrence has crafted a
fun, lighthearted cozy mystery that is one of the cutest
stories I've read lately. Her characters are charming and
seem like people you would want to get to know yourself.
And creating a cozy mystery around a craft as unique and
popular as decoupage is imaginative and timely. Lawrence
also includes directions for two charming decoupage
projects that will delight any fan of crafting.
A sticky situation in the second Decoupage mystery.
Decoupage teacher Brenna Miller is in over her
head when she finds bride-to-be Tara with her fiance's dead
best friend-and Tara holding the murder weapon. It's up to
Brenna to get to the truth before Tara's future turns to
shreds.
