This delightful amateur sleuth mystery series is brought to
an appropriate finish with NOT ONE CLUE, the sixth book to
feature L.A. psychologist Christina (Chrissy) McMullen and
Detective Jack Rivera. To the delight of the many fans of
this series, Chrissy and Jack finally consummate their
sensually hot up-and-down relationship -- and it's all they
could have ever hoped for. But the wild and wacky journey
to reach that climax (!) is not an easy one with a myriad
of hurdles for both of them to overcome.
As usual, Chrissy is again dealing with several quirky
clients, her best friend/actress Laney whose wedding to
super-geek/super-rich Solberg is about to take place, as
well as a neighbor who needs help with her sister. Geez,
nothing is ever easy for our intrepid psychologist. One of
her clients gets Chrissy involved with some nasty criminals
who then swear vengeance on Chrissy; the neighbor's sister
has fled an abusive husband who has sent thugs to retrieve
her; and if the wedding jitters weren't enough for Laney,
now she is receiving sinister hate mail. Of course,
everyone turns to Chrissy for help and that means Jack is
not far behind trying to protect her luscious body, while
he saves her life.
It's sad to see Chrissy go, but she's been given a
wonderful send-off in NOT ONE CLUE. Everything wraps up
nicely in the end -- and everyone involved is satisfied,
including the reader.
