Romance Contemporary

Sarah Price has moved back to Serenity, South Carolina, with her two children to try to get her life back together and get over her recent divorce. Her ex-husband, Walter, has ruined her self-esteem, verbally abusing her as a bad housekeeper and mother and telling her she's overweight. This has all been fueled by his parents and their degrading remarks about Sarah.

While working at Wharton's Restaurant as a waitress, she meets Travis McDonald, an ex-pro baseball player who's looking to settle down and start a business in Serenity. Travis sets his eyes on Sarah to do the morning talk show on his newly acquired radio station. Reluctantly and very unsure of herself, Sarah agrees to take the job. But she soon discovers Travis wants more from her than just an employee/employer relationship.

Sarah does not trust anything Travis says. She knows of his reputation as a ladies' man when he was a ball player and wants nothing to do with him. However, he is very patient with her, yet very persistent in slowly getting her to have some confidence in herself and to have some faith in him.

After a few weekends in Serenity to visit his children, Walter sees the change in his ex-wife's self-esteem and realizes his mistake in listening to his parents. He even quits the family business and decides to move to Serenity to be closer to the children. Will this cause a problem for Sarah and Travis as they embark on the possibility of a relationship?

Will Travis be able to convince Sarah his feelings are real, or will Walter's presence change things for them? With the help of the Sweet Magnolias, some dear hometown friends, Sarah finds all her answers. SWEET TEA AT SUNRISE is a romantic novel about the value of friendship, the importance of family and the changes people can make in their lives. You'll really enjoy this latest addition in the Sweet Magnolias series.
