When I sat down to read SEALED AND DELIVERED by Jill Monroe
a Harlequin Blaze, I really wasn't sure
what to expect. I can't recall reading Ms. Monroe
previously, but now I'm going to have to dig through my TBR
and see if any other titles are waiting for me.
Hailey Sutherland and her sister, Rachel have returned to
the B&B they both thought was not the life they were
wanting, but after the management company they had hired
practically ran the business to the ground the sisters have
decided it's time to take control of the business, and for
Rachel perhaps time to reflect on why she keeps finding
herself engaged to the wrong sort of man.
Nate Peterson, an injured Navy Seal is training a new crop
of Seals while trying to rehab from an injury suffered in
the line of duty. His goal is to get his men trained and
ready ASAP, and to rehab his leg and be back on the front
lines. He has no intention of meeting, dating, or otherwise
getting involved with any woman until fate lends a hand, and
his path crosses with Hailey's.
Once Nate and Hailey meet the story heats up. The chemistry
between them is well written, and doesn't feel the least bit
forced. As I read I could feel myself getting dreamy eyed
over the kind of hero that Nate is. We could all use a hero
like Nate and a friend like Hailey.
I know that many people pick and choose which category lines
they are going to read, as do I, and Blaze isn't a line I
normally read, but if the stories are of the quality of
SEALED AND DELIVERED I could be looking at that line in the
future. Regardless, Ms. Monroe has gone on my author to
look for list.
