Megan Lester was sick and tired of the way her husband,
Scott, toed the line of his money-hungry businessman
father's take-no-prisoners philosophy. When Scott missed
yet another family event, Megan decided her daughter would
be happier without having to hear more excuses about where
Daddy was.
Meanwhile, Scott thinks he is showing his fatherly love by
working grueling hours, no matter what the cost. However,
despite an impending divorce that Scott's dad wants to make
nastier by the second, Scott and Megan do not realize the
real danger is an outside force who wants to be Megan's
GUARDIAN ANGEL.
This book is Neiderman back to his classic writing style.
The multiple perspectives provide sympathetic
characterization, but the tone is all suspense, all the
time. This is a great book to read in the dark!
He came to her rescue. It was Megan Lester’s first night
back on the singles scene since her separation, and a
pushy guy at the bar just wouldn’t leave her alone. Then
Steve Wallace stepped in and saved her. Since that night
Steve always seems to be there when Megan needs help or
someone to lean on. Actually, Steve is there even when
Megan doesn’t realize it. Watching. Megan is his perfect
woman, and soon Steve will do anything to make her
understand that. Anything at all.
