Ever Bloom is trying to learn as much as she can about her
new abilities being an immortal, as well her destined love
Damen. He has searched for hundreds of years to find her
again and again, only to lose her, but now that immortal
road block, namely Drina, has been removed, and they can
start living and loving as he has always wanted and she
looks forward to.
That is up until a new student, Roman, joins Ever's high
school. This flashy bloke from across the pond seems
intent on winning everyone in the school, including Ever,
but she has a strong dislike of him from the beginning. So
while her friends, and even her beloved Damen, begin to
drift away from her, Ever wonders what it is about Roman,
besides stealing her friends, that makes her not like him
so. However, this is not her worst problem. Damen is
suddenly getting sick; something immortals never do.
Ever travels to travel to the mystical realm of Summerland,
where she may learns of Damen's past as well the secrets to
passages through time. With this information, Ever is
faced with making a choice between going back and saving
her family or staying and saving Damen.
Alyson Noel's BLUE MOON is the second book in her Immortals
series of which she plans there to be a total of five
books. Her characters are well drafted, giving Ever a lot
of the aspects that almost every sixteen year old girl
would want, yet still leaving major obstacles around each
of those aspects as well, grounding them in reality. I do
recommend reading EVERMORE,
the first of the Immortals
series, in order for the reader to get a better picture of
who the characters are.
Eager to learn everything she can about her new
abilities as an Immortal, Ever turns to her beloved Damen to
show her the way. But just as her powers are increasing,
Damen’s are waning.
In an attempt to save him,
Ever travels to the magical dimension of Summerland, where
she learns the secrets of Damen’s tortured past; a past
which he has always kept hidden from her. But in her quest
to cure Damen, Ever discovers an ancient text that details
