Mystery Amateur Sleuth

Elizabeth "Bebe" Bennett moves to New York City from Virginia in search of adventure and romance in the swingin' 60s. Her secretarial job at Rip-City Records puts her in the middle of the popular music scene. Her new roommate, sexy stewardess Darlene, gets the girls a double date with two band members of Philip Royal and the Beefeaters, a new British group ready to take the states by storm. But when the girls arrive at the hotel, Bebe's date is nowhere to be found and Philip is lying dead in the bathtub, murdered. Not only does Darlene become a suspect, having a previous (and very intimate) acquaintance with Philip, but his death could be disastrous to Rip-City Records and Bebe's handsome boss, Bradley Williams. Determined to clear Darlene's name and make Bradley notice her as more than the "kid," Bebe sets out to solve the murder. The only problem is, Philip seems to have had more enemies than friends -- and one of those enemies will stop at nothing to keep Bebe from finding out the truth.

Kick off your go-go boots and settle back to enjoy this new mystery series set in the mad, mod 1960s. Bebe is a sweet Southern belle eager to prove herself in the big city while secretly still hoping to find Prince Charming. Her friendship with Darlene provides a perfect blend of innocence, sexiness and fun as the two girls worry about fashion and dating in addition to playing detective. Add some pop culture references, a topnotch mystery and you're in for one groovy trip.
