Shannon Leigh regrets being her best friend's maid of honor
since it means watching all kinds of woman throwing
themselves at her ex, Romero Jinks. She is still hurting
from their very public break-up that was fodder for the
tabloids for months. To make matters worse, her charter
flight from Mexico was cancelled and she does not have the
money to book another flight. When Romero offers to drive
her home, she really has no choice but to accept. She
figures that a few hours in the car and she can finally put
Romero behind her for good. She can happily return to her
acting career and move on. Unfortunately, they get run off
the road in the middle of the desert. How is she going to
survive in the middle of nowhere with Romero whom she still
cares about? How is she going to keep her hands off of him?
Romero Jinks is used to fending off unwanted advances from
women. It comes with the rock star territory, yet the only
woman he finds appealing that still has the power to affect
him is Shannon. He is only being a gentleman when he
offers her a lift home since he is well aware that she is
barely making ends meet. What he hopes to be a shortcut
through the desert turns into his worst nightmare when they
are run off the road. The car is not drivable, and they
have to walk to the nearest town wherever that might be.
Romero knows how to survive in many environments and he
always comes prepared. He just hopes that Shannon will let
him take care of her, and not argue with him. Will he get
them through the harsh climate of the desert in one piece?
Will he succumb to the temptation that is right in front of
him?
Joanne Rock has crafted an exhilarating romance. She takes
two people who used to have a relationship and places them
into a situation beyond their control. Shannon and Romero
need to work at understanding their past problems before
they can have a future together. As the story progresses,
we learn about both sides of the relationship, and we are
rooting for them to jump at their second chance. It is
only fair to say that as the desert temperature plummets
overnight, things begin to heat up between them. SHE
THINKS HER EX IS SEXY is a pleasurable, steamy read that
gives a couple a second chance to make a go at it. Joanne
Rock knows how to write an entertaining story, and I am
interested in what she has to offer next.
Shannon Leigh didn’t look back when her rock-star lover
split. Even though they had the most heartstopping sex
imaginable, Romero Jinks just wasn’t the one for her.
But then she and her ex are thrown together for a friend’s
wedding—in sensual Mexico. Shannon forces herself to resist
Romero’s megawatt sex appeal until they leave.... Only to
get stranded in the middle of the desert!
Now she’s confronted by Romero’s gloriously shirtless
state. Before long, she’s screaming in pure bliss under the
hot sky. It’s a scorcher of a reunion. Yet Shannon’s
determined they’ll go their separate ways once they’re
rescued. Because someone so wrong for her can’t possibly be
right...right?
