Kenzie Gregor and his travelling companion, Father Daar, are not all they seem. After centuries of walking the planet, sometimes not always on two legs, they shouldn't be. Despite their kindnesses to her mother Mabel, Eve Anderson is justifiably suspicious of the handsome man who just bought her family home and his seemingly morose bottomless-pit of a friend.
However, as her mother's intellect grows ever spottier, she must come to depend upon Kenzie's charity with grace, all the while attempting to ignore the strange events surrounding Kenzie and her own growing feelings for him. Kenzie has to quickly come to rely on and trust Eve as fate, magical storms and the matchmaking propensity of Mabel and Father Daar push them closer together.
MOONLIGHT WARRIOR is a thrilling adventure. Eve has enough fortitude and determination to prevent her from becoming yet another damsel-in-distress. It isn't her fault she is in distress, and she certainly wasn't going to wait for a white knight to save her. Eve's strength of character in the face of adversity, as well as the beautifully depicted relationship among all of the characters, but particularly between mother and daughter, lift this book from light genre reading into something more. This novel is a joy to read from start to finish.
Once an immortal
warrior cursed to live as a panther, Kenzie is finally free
to live and die as a man, and his destiny is to help other
displaced souls. Of course, if he can get tiny, blue-eyed,
curly blond Eve out of the deal, well...life doesn't get
any better. But she's as stubborn and fierce as a lioness,
and in order to win her love, he must tempt her with
forbidden desires....
