Romance Contemporary

Emma Riley has come home to Rock Creek, PA to attend two weddings and to research the revival of this small town. But if that's not enough, the weddings being celebrated are for her two older sisters and Emma's actually in both bridal parties. Working hard isn't new to this smart girl, she's proud of her sociology degree and her job at a small college, but the emotional family dynamic might be pushing her endurance level too far.

In an attempt to interview all the newcomers to her hometown, Emma meets up with newbie bartender Jake Slayter. Jake has reasons for coming to Rock Creek that he doesn't want to share with anyone, but it's hard to keep a low profile when you're a well-known extreme sports star. Of course when you put the "play it safe" girl and the "risk taker" boy together sparks are bound to fly intriguing Jake and scaring Emma. Will they be able to find a happy medium in their lifestyles? Will Jake confess his secret reasons for coming to town? Will Rock Creek continue to grow and thrive? Witty dialogue and humorous plot twists make SMART GIRLS THINK TWICE a light, entertaining read. A great choice for anytime you want a little escape from your everyday world or save it up for the beach.

SUMMARY

Where dangerously sexy men are concerned....SMART GIRLS THINK TWICE With her job hanging in the balance, sociologist Emma Riley is back in her hometown of Rock Creek, Pennsylvania, for both her sisters' weddings. As if that isn't depressing enough, Emma also needs to stay focused on the research project that could save her job and launch her career. Her success hinges on sexy Rock Creek newcomer Jake Slayter. Unfortunately, Jake wants nothing to do with Emma -- or her big project. He has his own motives for being in Rock Creek, and if there's one thing he can't afford, it's a distraction in the form of a brainy beauty like Emma. Too bad Emma has made it perfectly clear that she's way too smart to let him stand in her way. Too bad Jake has made it perfectly clear that he's way too smart to take no for an answer!
