Decker Argeneau needs a vacation. Rescuing humans from
rogue vampires isn't supposed to be part of it. However,
Dr. Dani McGill needs rescuing, so Decker's vacation comes
to a screeching halt. Especially when he's only able to
rescue Dani; the kidnapping rogue got away with her younger
sister. Decker vows to get her back, but suspects the rogue
hasn't given up on grabbing Dani, too.
And Decker has made a startling discovery -- Dani is his
life mate. Now that he's found her, he's doubly determined
to find and kill the rogue vampire, get Dani's sister back
and keep Dani out of the vicious, torturing rogue's hands.
THE IMMORTAL HUNTER is the 9th installment featuring the
Argeneau family. As is usual with Ms. Sands' books, it was
a treat to read. The vampires are hot, the heroine is sweet
and spunky and the bad guy is someone it's easy to hate. A
perfect combination of action and passion, THE IMMORTAL
HUNTER is a must-read for all fans of Ms. Sands. If you
like fun books, this series is for you. A good read.
Even vampires need a vacation. But Decker Argeneau's ends
abruptly when he's asked to help hunt the group of rogue
vampires targeting mortals -- one that might include a
defector in his own family. Before he can worry about
that, though, he's got to rescue the latest victim. It's
all part of the job, including taking a bullet for a
beautiful doctor.
Dr. Danielle McGill doesn't
know if she can trust the man who just saved her life.
There are too many questions, such as what is the secret
organization he says he's part of, and why do his wounds
hardly bleed? However, with her sister in the hands of
some dangerous men, she doesn't have much choice but to
trust him.
Except now Decker's talking about life
mates and awakening a passion that's taking Dani beyond
anything she's ever known. Being undead may not be half-
bad...especially if it means spending forever with a man
who would love her with his mind, body, and immortal soul.
This was a great addition to Sand's Argeneau series. I can't wait to read it. I met Decker in The Rogue Hunter, and can't wait to read his story. (Lisa Richards 8:22am April 6, 2009)
