Katie Kramer intends to live the rest of her life "balls out." Katie was the only survivor of a bridge collapse on the Santa Monica Freeway and has not had a nightmare free night in months. She needs to get away from Los Angeles, and after eight hours of driving she finds herself in the Sierras where her shorts and flip flops she left home wearing need to be replaced by boots and a parka. She notices a want ad on the bulletin board at the diner where she stops, and it seems like fate. Wilder Adventures, an outdoor adventure and expedition company, is looking for a part time office manager that is adventurous. Her first adventure comes in the shape of a tall, good looking man who insists that she is sleeping in his bed.
Cameron Wilder has returned home after a year of . . . nothing, really. Once an Olympic champion, as well as every snow boarding title known to mankind, a silly, avoidable, accident ended his competitive days. Cam is an equal partner with his brothers, Stone and T.J., and their young aunt, Annie, in Wilder Adventures. His absence has been sorely missed, not to mention worrisome as no one knew where he was, or how he was. Cam needs a reason to keep on going, and maybe helping Katie find adventure will help him out.
Jill Shalvis is one of this reviewer's auto-buy as she always brings me joy and pure entertainment. INSTANT ATTRACTION could possibly be her best tale yet. Wonderful characters, clever and humorous dialogue and situations, and a breathtaking, sensual, and poignant story about two scared, and scarred, people just hangin' in and hangin' on. INSTANT ATTRACTION is tender, laugh-out-loud funny with some of the best "one liners" you'll ever read, and just all around superb. Brother Stone gets his story in July, INSTANT GRATIFICATION, and this reader can't wait!
