When Christian Hawkins is pulled from a top priority mission in Columbia, South America to do duty at a garden auction party, he didn't think things could get any worse until he saw the person who he was there to protect. The last time he had seen or heard from the Katya Dekker was right before he was sent to prison for a murder he didn't commit but got imprisoned for due to his relationship with her.
Katya knows she's in trouble the minute she recognizes Christian, but when there's an explosion at the auction, Christian's the one who comes to her rescue, just like he did 13 years ago on her prom night. Protecting Katya isn't Christian's only concern. When Ted Garraty, a man who testified against him as a youth turns up dead at the auction, Christian has to work with Katya to figure out who's trying to set him up to take the fall for Ted's murder.
Christian's resolved to treat this assignment as any other. The sooner he clears up the murder mystery, the sooner he can get away from Katya. But with old feelings returning along with the problems from the past, Christian has to decide between self-preservation and a lifetime of being with Katya.
CRAZY COOL is a wickedly exciting and sexy follow-up to Tara Janzen's CRAZY HOT. You can't help but to root for Christian and Katya's happily ever after ending after reading about all the horrible things that her mother has done. We also get to catch up with Peter "Kid Chaos" Chronopolous and Nikki McKinney from CRAZY HOT but it leaves you wanting more. Now I'm just itching to get my hands on Janzen's next addition to this series, CRAZY WILD, but it's not due out until February 2006. Let the waiting begin.
