Fred the Mermaid has just found a perfect rental on the
beach, and the ink is barely dry on the lease agreement
before uninvited guests start filling her empty bedrooms.
First to arrive is best friend Jonas, bursting with wedding
plans in which Fred, as best man, must participate. Not far
behind are the two men in Fred's life, Thomas and Prince
Artur. That's nothing, however, to the unexpected arrival
of her real father, Farrem, back from his exile years ago
for plotting treason against the Undersea Folk.
Farrem is eager to get to know his daughter, and Fred is
more than a bit curious about the man who sired her.
There's trouble brewing with Farrem's arrival, potentially
threatening Fred's engagement (being the child of the
traitor of your people can be tough to overcome). Worse
still, something is going on with the Undersea Folk.
Several have dropped off King Mekkam's radar and rumor of
government involvement in their disappearance forces Thomas
to approach is estranged father for assistance. What they
discover threatens the very existence of the entire
undersea kingdom.
FISH OUT OF WATER by MaryJanice Davidson is the
pleasing conclusion to the Fred the Mermaid trilogy. Filled
with the author's typical humor, readers will delight in
Fred's latest adventures from cake tasting with Jonas to
deciding between two men and ferreting out the traitor in
their midst. Full of laugh-out-loud moments, FISH OUT OF
WATER is pure escapist entertainment!
Fred the Mermaid has taken the bait and chosen to date
Artur, Prince of the Black Sea, over human marine
biologist Thomas. And just in time. The existence of the
Undersea Folk is no longer a secret, and someone needs to
keep them from floundering in the media spotlight. Fred
has all the right skills for that job, but has a hard time
when her real father surfaces and tries to overthrow
Artur’s regime.
