Bruce and Gloria share a love that is transcendent. Theirs

The villain is the demon Enervata. As the story opens,
Enervata's harpy minions are already watching Bruce and

assault on the unwitting couple. Bruce and Gloria's union
has the power to inspire others in the mortal world to do
good works. The mortal world could leap ahead and
accomplish extraordinary things, if this couple,
individuals with remarkable ability and potential, come
together in a lasting union. If Enervata and his demons can
crush that union, he will gain the power to enslave
mankind.
Gloria is chosen to be the key to the couple's undoing.
Kidnapped and held hostage by the demon, Enervata attempts
to woo and seduce the young woman. If he can persuade her
to give up her lover, the demon gets his greater power.
This strategy is something he's tried before and has always
been met with failure, but this time the demon is on his
game and surer of himself than ever. With millennia of
experience under his figurative belt, a mortal woman of a
few decades shouldn't stand a chance.
To rescue Gloria, Bruce sets out on a hero's quest. To save
his lover, he must first traverse the country to gather
what is known as the Four Pillars of Humanity. If he can
accomplish this, then and only then will he be ready for a
final showdown with Enervata. So with an unlikely group of
friends, Bruce sets out to save Gloria...and all of mankind.
As the debut author for new publisher The Story Plant,
Sienna Skyy successfully uses the archetypes and
inventions of myth and fairy tale to structure her fantasy
novel, AMERICAN QUEST, into a fun read. The characters and
situations are familiar as the author uses the tried and
true classics to tell her story. The story winds up very
quickly in the end, but it sounds like Bruce and Gloria and
their little band of adventurers will be back for another
round in OTHERWORLD QUEST, the next book Skyy is working
on.
