As readers may recall, we first met Jillian Talbot in Sight Unseen, the book about her sister Raven. Jillian has the ability to touch an historical object and 'see' things about it.
Now, this book tells Jillian's story. Jillian thinks very few people know about her gift but boy is she ever wrong. Now she is in a pile of trouble and the only way out is to trust treasure hunter Simon Bonner but is Simon all that trustworthy? He knows some powerfully evil people and some people skirting on the edge between right and wrong.
Simon wants to retire but he sure doesn't count on the fact that his ex-wife's new husband, Jackson finds him after being shot and telling him that his ex-wife Celina has been kidnapped and if they don't do what the kidnappers say she will be dead. What can Simon do but help? Simon has no clue what he has gotten himself into or what part Jillian will play into this whole scenario.
Oh my, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading OUT OF TIME. Poor Jillian was a mild mannered timid soul who only wanted to be left alone in her museum with all of her historical pieces. She never counted on the fact that she alone may be the only one who can save the world. I highly recommend reading Jillian's story with the caveat that readers make sure they have lots of time because they will not want to put this one down until the last page is turned.
