Abby knows her arrest is just a case of mistaken identity.
Mistaken because a young woman named Elizabeth Blume has
just spent the last three weeks actively trying to "become"
Abby in her own twisted way. Making things even more
twisted for Abby is the fact that no one will believe her
when she tries to point this out. Libby, as she is now
asking to be called, started by trying to intern for her
but since Abby remembered her as being trouble when she
babysat for the Blumes, Abby decided not to open that can
of worms again. Then Libby tries get closer to Marco,
Abby's boyfriend, by hiring him to do some PI work on her
behalf. When Abby shows up to her family's Friday night
dinner and finds Libby in her seat, eating her Abby's
favorite foods, Abby starts to feel a slow burn of anger.
The next day, when Abby goes to her hair appointment and
sees Libby sitting in the salon chair getting the exact
same haircut as Abby has and then runs into her having
lunch with her cousin, Abby decides enough is enough.
Little does Abby know the best is yet to come. Libby
opens 'Blume's Art Store' right across the square from
Abby's flower shop 'Bloomers' and Abby seems to be the only
person who can clearly see that Libby has attempted to
exactly duplicate both the interior and exterior look of
Abby's shop. When Delphi Blume is murdered and her body is
left in the alley behind Bloomers, with witnesses seeing a
woman who fits Abby's description to a "t," Abby is
arrested.
Now Abby really needs to figure out whats going on with
Libby and Libby's brother Oliver. How can she be the only
one to see that these siblings are not quite right? Will
she be able to prove who killed Delphi before everything in
her life stops making sense?
This is the sixth Flower Shop Mystery. The familar
characters and the complete resolution to the murder
mystery is a strong part of what keeps fans coming back for
more. It's also satisfying to read a book where the good
are rewarded and the bad are punished.
Eight years ago, Abby Knight babysat for a problem teen
named Elizabeth. Today, Elizabeth’s back, with a new name
(Libby) and a whole new life (stolen)—namely, one that
already belongs to Abby. Libby’s even trying to steal Abby’s
boyfriend, Marco. But imitation really becomes the sincerest
form of trouble when Abby finds herself the accused dupe in
a bizarre murder plot.
