It's been many years since I last sat down with a Harlequin Blaze, so when I started to read OVERNIGHT SENSATION by Karen Foley I really wasn't quite sure what to expect. I knew from others that Blazes get hot quickly, and maintain that heat throughout, but what about interesting characters or a plot? Would I get something other than what someone I know has termed porn on paper?

I'm very pleased to say that while I didn't get to read OVERNIGHT SENSATION quite as quickly as I might have liked because of life issues (don't we hate when real life intrudes into our reading time) I was totally captivated every time I sat down and turned pages.

Ivy James was in her own way a successful movie star, but she had yet to achieve that A-list role that would make her a stand out in the way that Julia Roberts is a stand out in the film industry. When the opportunity to co-star in Eye Of The Hunter with Eric Terrell practically falls in her lap she knows she would be nuts to turn it down.

Filming has already begun on location in Mexico when Ivy is offered the role. While she doesn't expect preferential treatment she is sorely dismayed at the welcome she gets into Mexico, and onto the location of the set.

Garrett Stokes, is a technical advisor for the film, and the soldier on whom the film is based. Several years previously as he was recovering from his wounds, which Eye Of The Hunter will detail, he is hospitalized with Ivy's brother who was wounded in Iraq. As a deathbed promise Garrett swears he will keep an eye on Ivy, and has done so from afar, and now is ready to move things to a new level.

Will Ivy and Garrett have the chance to know each other on a more personal level, or will Ivy's costar Eric beat Garrett to Ivy's bed? With whom will the chemistry ignite, and the heat come off the pages of OVERNIGHT SENSATION and singe your fingers? This is privileged information until you read OVERNIGHT SENSATION for yourself.

I will give you the warning that the story is intense, and does get personal and steamy fast. I don't recall previously reading Ms. Foley, but if OVERNIGHT SENSATION is representative of her work I will be seeking other stories by her.
