A year ago, CeeCee had to make the decision of staying with her husband or starting a new life with Special Agent Michael Hagerman. CeeCee chose her husband, however Michael is now coming back to assist in the investigation of the case she's currently working. This has CeeCee wondering if she made the right choice in men. Michael knows what he wants -- CeeCee -- and when it looks like he can finally have her, he has to make sure he's able to keep her.

THE DEVIL'S CLOSE is jam-packed with mystery, suspense, romance and much, much more. A perfect combination of elements kept this reader's nose between the pages. I really like debut author Stacy Dittrich's style of writing. Drawing on her personal experiences as a deputy sheriff and detective specializing in sexual crimes, her novel is definitely interesting. And I'm looking forward to her next novel due to come out May 2009.
