There is a madman loose in Somersett, South Carolina, and
he's FBI Special Agent Cait Cavanaugh's latest assignment.
The shootings, very well-aimed shots, began while Somersett
was celebrating Buccaneer Days and the town was overflowing
with tourists. And it wasn't long before the shooter made
Somersett his own personal shooting gallery. He must be
stopped and it better be soon.
Former Navy SEAL Quinn McKade steps in to help Cait with
the investigation. He's never forgotten her since the hot,
steamy night they spent between the sheets after a mutual
friend's wedding. It's an evening Cait has never forgotten
either, although she won't admit it.
Quinn knows it takes a sniper to catch a sniper. The
murders continue, chilling clues keep appearing and it
isn't long before Quinn and Cait know that they're the
shooters next victims.
JoAnn Ross has once again gifted us with a suspense
thriller that's nothing less than amazing. She grabbed me
on page one and kept me in suspense all night. In
CROSSFIRE, you live and breathe the tension. You can almost
smell the gunpowder and feel hearts beating in staccato.
The plot is riveting, the characters sizzle and the ending
will blow you away. Not only do the pages singe with
passion, but they detonate with heart-stopping action.
Trust me - you DO NOT want to miss CROSSFIRE. But keep in
mind, once you pick it up, it's impossible to put down.
Begin the High Risk series with FREEFALL, continue with
CROSSFIRE and end with SHATTERED, a February 2009 release.
This trilogy proves the talent of JoAnn Ross. Just
when you think she can't get any better, she does. This
exceedingly talented author writes with skill, drama,
passion, guts, wit and sensitivity. I never miss a JoAnn
Ross masterpiece and neither should you.
