Suspense | Romance Suspense

There is something compelling about a man who kills for a living. Rafael Salinas is mysterious. He's ruthless. He exudes raw sexuality that makes women like Drea Rousseau willing to cross over to the dark side. That is until the day he does the unthinkable and bites the hand that feeds him. Then, he's just like all the others. Drea knows what she now has to do. Just how she's going to get it done is the question. Playing the part of a blonde bombshell has gotten Drea this far. She has almost everything a girl could want, except for her soul. She knows that breaking free from the chains that bind her will require money and lots of it. And, who better to steal from than the man who has destroyed her very being. Good thing she has been secretly preparing for this day all along. Now, if only she can outwit the master at his own game. Betraying the man whose name is synonymous with the term cold-blooded murderer proves to be a treacherous undertaking for Drea. As she scrambles to outrun the hired gun he has sent after her, Drea is involved in a tragic accident that brings her one step closer to her future. Armed with the knowledge that she has the chance to make things right, Drea sets out on a mission to bring Salinas to justice. With nowhere else to turn, she engages in a risky relationship with the one man that can beat Salinas at his own game. But, can Drea trust that he won't double-cross her in the process? Why is she so willing to risk it all for a mercenary who has no regard for human life? Could it be that the physical attraction she feels towards him has blinded her better judgment? Will Salinas get his just due, or will Drea simply become his next victim? DEATH ANGEL is Linda Howard's latest rollercoaster ride of suspense that is filled with twists and turns that has her readers screaming for more. Without a doubt, Howard's DEATH ANGEL is this summer's hottest ticket.

After she double-crosses her lover, a ruthless crime lord, Drea must flee from a relentless assassin who ultimately succeeds in killing her. But after a very brief death, Drea returns to life a changed woman: no longer selfish and cruel, determined to bring down the ones who marked her for death. Joining forces with the FBI, little does she suspect that the man she will come to love is the same assassin who took her life.
