As a Marine and a sharpshooter, Wade Cordell has seen more than his share of violence and death. Currently an independent contractor with Bullet Catchers, an elite security and investigation firm, he's feeling a little burnt-out after a recent "messy" assignment. Like a hurricane, Vanessa is storming through Clive's last-known whereabouts, demanding answers to her questions. When a handsome gentleman helps her out of a tight spot, she's grateful but certainly doesn't need a partner. Shocked when Wade explains why he's sought her out, Vanessa quickly recovers and uses her Wall Street wiles to make a deal: If Wade helps her find Clive, she'll go to meet Eileen. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Wade is incredibly sexy and there's a heat between them that has nothing to do with the tropical climate!

Their search begins to uncover some unsettling details about Clive's recent activities, however. They may be in more danger than Clive as they draw the attention of some people who may not want him to be found...ever. Both Vanessa and Wade must open their carefully guarded hearts and trust each other if they're going to make it back to the states alive.
