When he was a teenager, Michael Stanbridge saved his good friend, Carolyn, from a blazing fire, only to lose his twin sister in the same tragedy. He spent months in rehab and never returned to the small town. It wasn't until years later that he reconnected with Carolyn, who was on a meteoric rise through politics.
