Special Agent Daniel Vartanian sees a lot of death in his line of work, but this Georgia Bureau of Investigations agent has kept a secret for many years. By keeping this secret, Daniel may now have played a role in the deaths of several young women. The horrors of his past started with his brother, Simon, who many years before had proven himself to be cruel and sick. Daniel's father discovered pictures of women being raped, proof of Simon's involvement in these appalling crimes. After a horrible fight, Simon disappeared and Daniel's father buried another man's body claiming Simon had died. Daniel saw copies of the pictures and prays his brother's sins died with him.

Wanting to put this nightmare in the past, Daniel returns to his hometown of Dutton, Georgia, where he finds that someone is murdering women in the same fashion as a murdered woman 13 years before. As Daniel investigates, he's sickened to discover that the murdered women are none other than those in the pictures his brother took all those years ago. He knows Simon didn't commit these murders because he just buried him for the second time.

This complex investigation gets even more complicated when Alex Fallon comes to Daniel for help because her step- sister, Bailey, has disappeared. Daniel is shocked when he meets Alex and finds himself looking at the face of the murdered woman from all those years before. He discovers that Alex is the victim's twin, but she suffers from post- traumatic stress syndrome and can't remember what happened the night her sister was murdered.

Attempts are made on Alex's life and Daniel realizes that her sister's disappearance, the attempts on her life and the attacks on anyone Alex talks to as she tries to find Bailey are intricately intertwined. He must keep Alex safe at all cost, since she's the key to solving these crimes. Throughout the investigation and because of their close proximity, Daniel lets down his guard and falls in love with Alex. Their mutual attraction to each other is a salvation for their psyches. The stakes are high and time is running out to find Bailey and solve the murders before another woman becomes a victim of this sick serial killer. Daniel only prays that Alex will forgive him for withholding information all these years.

Karen Rose set this plot in motion in DIE FOR ME with Simon's murders and the horrific torture of the victims. She continues that chilling storyline in SCREAM FOR ME, which will grab your attention and prickle your skin as you read about a vile criminal intent on setting the stage to make others squirm. With no compassion for the victims, he kills just to make his point.

I was hooked on Ms. Rose when I read her first book. I guarantee, if you like thrillers, you're going to want to snatch up all of Karen Rose's books and be on the lookout for her next bestselling story. She's a bestselling author who writes a winner -- oh, yes she is!

SUMMARY

For her exciting debut in hardcover, New York Times
bestselling author Karen Rose delivers a heart-stopping
suspense novel that picks up where DIE FOR ME left off,
with a detective determined to track down a brutal
murderer.

Special Agent Daniel Vartanian has sworn to find the
perpetrator of multiple killings that mimic a 13-year-old
murder linked to a collection of photographs that belonged
to his brother, Simon, the ruthless serial killer who met
his demise in DIE FOR ME. Daniel is certain that someone
even more depraved than his brother committed these
crimes, and he's determined to bring the current murderer
to justice and solve the mysterious crime from years ago.

With only a handful of images as a lead, Daniel's search
will lead him back through the dark past of his own
family, and into the realm of a mind more sinister than he
could ever imagine. But his quest will also draw him to
Alex Fallon, a beautiful nurse whose troubled past
reflects his own. As Daniel becomes attached to Alex, he
discovers that she is also the object of the obsessed
murderer. Soon, he will not only be racing to discover the
identity of this macabre criminal, but also to save the
life of the woman he has begun to love.
