The great War has been fought and won. Jaenelle is Witch
and Queen. And sometimes...just Jaenelle. Lover and wife to
Daemon Sadi and beloved member of the SaDiablo family,

messenger to close family members. Former assassin and
courtesan, Surreal SaDiablo, receives an invitation and
with a Warlord Prince as escort, arrives at the house ready
to be both entertained and horrified. Surreal and Rainier
enter the house with a small company of village children
only to find themselves trapped in a nightmare world of
tangled webs and deadly illusion. The house is a trap
created not by Jaenelle, but by a madman who's using the
house both as a means of revenge against the SaDiablo
Family and as research for a mystery novel he's planning.
Jaenelle, Daemon and Lucivar race to rescue Surreal and her
companions from the horrors of the house that features the
webs of three powerful Black Widow Witches, two of whom
currently inhabit the house as the Demon Dead. As Jaenelle
and Daemon struggle to untangle the webs, Lucivar favors a
more direct approach and enters the house himself fully
shielded and ready to take apart both the house and the
lunatic who designed it. In a world where cruelty has been
a way of life for generations, "the author" is about to
find out what it means to challenge the most powerful
family in the Realms.
