A strong assertive older woman with a plan and a younger fun-loving confirmed bachelor strike plenty of sparks but the fire itself is the real star of this page turning story. This is the third in author Melinda Curtis' series on the firefighters known as "hotshots"; a select group of men and women who hike up mountains to fight fire with a shovel as their only tool. Definitely worth the read—and I'll look for the next book in the series coming in May 2006.
