Jake Tierny's presence at the underground compound complicates his relationship with Hope and Scott Dillon, which includes the fact that both men cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Jake decides to leave Scott to the army issues while he focuses on his wife's killer.

What Jake finds is the sexy Rafarian medic, Shelby Taylor, hot on his trail and rustling up emotions he hasn't felt in 10 years. She knows exactly what kind of man Jake is and she wants to be in his life no matter what she must do to convince him. So, she follows him to Texas to help him find a killer and to save him from himself.

This intriguing (and final) novel in the Midnight Warriors series is absolutely fantastic. The character building is artful and fresh with a blend of sci-fi action and romance.
