Once again, the power-hungry vampire Samos is creating
havoc by joining forces with reavers, soul-stealing
creatures that need a human host to survive. But never
fear, Jaz Parks, CIA assassin, and her crew are hot on the
trail when a science project goes missing and Samos is the
main suspect. This advanced biotechnology is a type of body
armor that's still in the creative stage, so it's full
capabilities are unknown, which can be very dangerous in
the wrong hands.
While Vayl and Jaz work this highly sensitive case as
novelty acts at a festival, an already growing bond becomes
stronger and more complicated. With the newbie, Cole, added
to the mix, jealous sparks begin to fly, yet the sexual
tension between the three of them is set aside for the sake
of the mission. Can they finally end this once and for all?
Can they stop Samos from creating an army and destroying
the world?
This novel is choppy and hard to follow for someone who did
not read the first novel, ONCE BITTEN, TWICE SHY. I firmly
believe you must read the first book in the Jaz Parks
series to fully understand what the author is trying to
accomplish. Other than that, the quirky sense of humor and
action-packed pages make ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST a
worthwhile read.
Jaz Parks has enough trouble in her personal life. What
she doesn't need is more trouble with her vampire boss and
another mission. This time she has to retrieve a vital
piece of biotechnology by killing the maniac who stole it:
an ancient Chinese vamp. Their cover in this mission:
professional entertainers at the Corpus Christi's Winter
Festival. The crew's all here: a psychic, a techno-wizard,
a singing vampire, a juggling PI, and Jaz. Holy crap in a
bottomless well, Jaz is going to bellydance. It's
definitely, probably, quite possibly going to be the end
of the world as we know it.
