Fern Michaels continues her best-selling Revenge of the
Sisterhood series with another highly innovative and
entertaining tale of female vigilantes.
It is Yoko Akia's turn for justice, and the secret she has
been keeping all of her life about her natural father is
vile enough to make everyone in the Sisterhood blanch,
including ex-MI 16 agent, Charles. Yoko's mother was sold
to Michael Lyons when she was fifteen-years-old. She was
his sex-slave, and when she became pregnant, Lyons passed
her around to all of his degenerate friends until she died a
disease ridden, painful death. Yoko was rescued by some
women who had been freed from Lyons clutches, and these
"aunts" raised her to become a beautiful, caring, woman.
Yoko was told the bitter truth about her heritage, and she
vowed that someday she would make Michael Lyons pay for what
he did to her mother and other women and children. This
pernicious man lives a double life -- he is the
golden-haired man of Hollywood, and the owner of several sex
shops that cater to very wealthy men with an appetite for
very young females.
Reporters Ted Robinson and Maggie Spritzer have returned to
Washington and are still obsessed with exposing the
Sisterhood. They take matters into their own hands when
their accusations are ignored by every branch of the
government they talk to.
The sting in FREE FALL is complex and imaginative, and
thoroughly entertaining. Yoko is the last of the seven
original women who had slipped through the cracks of
justice. She has found a man worthy of her and her love,
and she has the support of her sisters. Fern Michaels does
an excellent job of weaving several plots throughout this
book. FREE FALL is a fast moving, fast reading story with
lots of surprises from start to finish. As a devout fan of
this series I truly hope this is not the last tale of the
Week-End Warriors!
The loyal friends who make up the Sisterhood have gathered
at Myra Rutledge’s beautiful Virginia home for the first
time in a year, eager to talk, laugh, and share their joys
and heartaches. For one of their number, it’s an evening
filled with anticipation. Because tonight, over delicious
food and in the company of those she trusts most, it will
finally be time to tell her story—and for the Sisterhood
to help plan her revenge.
Yoko Akia’s mother was only fifteen when a wealthy man
swept her off her feet with promises of love. Instead, he
filled her brief life with horror and misery. The
Sisterhood has helped each other exact vengeance on rotten
men before, but this time it’s different. Their target is
none other than America’s favorite movie star—a brute who
has conned the world into believing he’s Mister Perfect.
But he’s about to learn that nobody—not even a powerful
superstar—is above the Sisterhood’s special brand of
payback...
