Thriller Serial Killer | Suspense

Vito Ciccotelli sees a lot of death as a Philadelphia homicide detective. However, he's not ready for the latest, a serial killer who has carefully dug numerous graves, filling them with the bodies of people he has horrifically tortured. Vito's crew calls in Sophie Johanson, a local archaeologist, to map out the large area before they start to dig for more victims. Sophie, an expert in medieval weaponry, is able to explain the medieval references the killer has used in both the killing of his victims and in their burial. Sophie wasn't supposed to see the bodies. However, once she does, not only is she a valuable asset to the police, she's also in immediate danger from the killer who plans to make her one of his next victims. Vito has grieved for two years over the death of the woman he loved. Until he meets Sophie, he hasn't even entertained the thought of moving on. Not only is Sophie beautiful, she also has a tenderness and allure that quickly touches Vito. As he grows more in love with her, his desire to keep her safe costs becomes imperative. Sophie has made a few mistakes in the past; enough to make her more than cautious when it comes to men. She's immediately attracted to Vito, and once she gets past misunderstandings, Sophie is ready to try her hand at a relationship, if the killer doesn't succeed first at claiming her for his own. Karen Rose writes stories that give me chills. Her characters are sharp and remarkable; the delivery promises excitement and suspense. DIE FOR ME is another fine example of Rose's skills.

SUMMARY

COME TO ME

The first victim is found in a snow-covered Philadelphia field. Detective Vito Ciccotelli enlists the aid of archaeologist Sophie Johannsen to determine exactly what lies beneath the frozen ground. Despite years of unearthing things long buried, nothing can prepare Sophie for the matrix of graves dug with chilling precision. The victims buried there haunt her. But the empty graves terrify her-the killer isn't done yet.

SCREAM FOR ME

He is cold and calculating, the master of a twisted game. Even with Vito and Sophie hot on his trail, he will not stop. One more empty grave must be filled, and one last scream must be heard-the scream of an archaeologist who is too close for comfort and too near to resist...
