Rhiannon Castle has been having visions. Visions of a creature; a hideous female thing, as it attacks the unwary, sinking fang and claw into bodies, draining them of their blood, consuming their flesh, eating their souls. Rhiannon knows the creature is gaining strength with every taking and will soon be so powerful, no one will have a hope of destroying her or the even more horrible, frightening male she's planning to call forth. Rhiannon knows the visions are real because she's a D'Anu witch.
Keir, a Tuatha D'Danann warrior, is from another realm of existence. He, too, knows serious trouble lies ahead for San Francisco and the entire world if he and his fellow Tuatha D'Danann brethren cannot stop the demon goddess Ceithlenn's attempt to bring her demon lover to this world. When Keir, trustful of no one except his fellow warriors, and Rhiannon meet, sparks fly, faeries flutter and the Drow King takes note, as does the Great Elven Guardian. They will need the help of all these creatures, plus the Tuatha Elders Council and the Mystwalkers, if they are to have a prayer of preventing Ceithlenn and her army of demons taking over the world and destroying it.
Ah, what fun. Keir is a super alpha warrior, although he does have a soft spot for a tiny, adventurous faerie. Rhiannon is a strong, well-centered, educated witch who has an unwanted mental tie with the demon goddess. She's determined to help destroy the demons; he's determined to keep her safe at home. Add in the fact that they can hardly keep their hands off each other, and you have all the ingredients for a fiery dish -- stirred up with a big old bundle of lust. It makes for a rip-roaring tale of an adventurous courtship. You just can't tell which one will tame the other. This third book in Ms. McCray's series about the Tuatha D'Danann warriors and the D'Anu witches is the most fun I've had in awhile. Please continue the story, Ms. McCray. I've been well and truly hooked since the first book. Don't miss reading FORBIDDEN MAGIC and SEDUCED BY MAGIC. You'll love the whole story arc. A very good read.
