With just five days to go until the wedding, Julia Spinelli has fired her wedding planner, and now her parents have come to town to put a stop to the wedding. There's been bad blood between the Spinelli's and the Sonntag's ever since Marv, Julia's father, tried to buy the Sonntag ancestral home and turn it into one of his tacky motor inns. Julia is quickly running out of time to get her wedding put together. She also needs to convince her father that she truly loves Roman, and that he loves her.

With her sister Sydney's help, Julia slowly makes progress on her wedding plans, and despite the chaos, gets to spend some quality time with her fiancé. Even Marv is becoming convinced that their love is true. However, when Julia finds out that Roman has been keeping his financial problems a secret, she starts to wonder if maybe they're moving a bit too fast. Will Roman be able to convince her to trust him in time for the planned event?

FIRST LOVE is the final installment of the Bridesmaid Chronicles and nicely rounds out this series. It's a must- read if you've read the other three -- FIRST DATE, FIRST KISS and FIRST DANCE.
