When Darcy Cavanaugh agreed to be a bridesmaid in her
coworker's wedding aboard a cruise ship, the last thing
she expected was for it to be stressful. After all, Darcy
is an ER nurse and this vacation is supposed to be a
relaxing time for her. Instead of pina coladas and dancing
all night, Darcy has a strange rash, an I Love Lucy
inspired bridesmaid dress, an ex boyfriend aboard the
ship, a possible wedding proposal hanging over her head,
and a mystery to solve!
Kirsty, the wedding planner, is trying her best to keep
everything in order but that is hard to do with all the
constant fighting going on between the men on board.
Someone is trying to sabotage this wedding, but no one
knows why. With the help of Marie, Darcy's lesbian best
friend, the two women try to have a fun time while on
their vacation.
In the meantime, someone is sending Darcy strange poems
and she is starting to think she has a stalker. When clues
start to come together, Darcy realizes her stalker may be
closer then she previously thought.
After saying goodbye to her boyfriend, FBI undercover
detective Luke Skyler to go on the cruise, Darcy discovers
her ex boyfriend Sam in on the ship! Sam is intent on
winning Darcy back, even though he is already married to
someone else. Will Darcy fall for Sam's charm and possibly
ruin what she already has with Luke?
Someone on the boat has a list of people they want to hurt
and possibly kill. One by one strange accidents involving
a stapler occur. After one of the groomsmen is found dead,
everyone is a suspect. The FBI becomes involved and comes
on the ship to question the wedding party. Luke Skyler is
one of the FBI agents involved in the investigation. Will
his sudden surprise appearance throw Darcy off and put her
in a compromising position if she's caught with her ex
boyfriend Sam? How will Darcy juggle two men and not break
any hearts?
Darcy tries to sort out her feelings towards Luke and
whether she is ready to commit to marriage with him. She
knows he has a little black box in his pocket and the
proposal is inevitably going to happen. Will Darcy say yes
or will she ruin everything she has with Luke to be with
two timing Sam?
AYE DO OR DIE, the second book in the series, is full of
just the right blend of romance, mystery, and comedy.
This was my first book by Candy Calvert and I thoroughly
enjoyed it. I instantly fell in love with the sexy men in
Darcy's life and could relate to her dilemma with picking
the right man for her. Please don't let Darcy settle down
yet! Sam is a very interesting character and I want to
hear more about him. I look forward to the next
installment and cruising with Darcy once again.
ER nurse Darcy Cavanaugh is sailing the high seas
again-adrift as a bridesmaid on a wedding cruise complete
with raucous firefighters who have a taste for practical
jokes and raunchy ties. Cruising up the West Coast, Darcy
tries not to panic about one curious ring-sized box hidden
in her boyfriend's pocket. But a poet-stalker obsessed with
her feet, a stressed-out wedding planner, and her hunky
ex-boyfriend are keeping Darcy on alert for more than the
free mimosas!
When the prankster firefighters start
dropping like flies, "I do" becomes "I didn't" as the entire
wedding party is held onboard and questioned one by one.
Between bouts of killer staples, interrogations by the FBI,
and one mortifying polka-dot bridesmaid dress, Darcy wonders
if she'll ever be ready for the tumultuous tides of marriage.
